To prevent the CMC having an all out perfect starship, every ship must follow several rules:


CMC ships have a number of possible abilities:

  • Armour
  • Shields
  • Hangars (Fighter/bomber deployment)
  • Firepower
  • Speed/maneuverability
  • Cost/rarity
  • Point Defense
  • Planetary Landing/ ground support

A CMC vessel must not excel in more than six of these.

A CMC vessel must also conform to its class designation. (A Destroyer cannot act as a Carrier, or a Frigate act as Dreadnought)


A Destroyer class is 2.5 times more expensive than a Frigate Class of the same size. If the Destroyer is larger, the costs must be scaled up by the same factor as size.
